The playground

This piece contains one 44in x 44in photograph printed on matt paper, and forty 10 x 10-inch origami in which the origami are placed on the floor. The audience will find traces of folding on the big print which is on the wall. That means the big print used to be origami as well but we opened it and let the audience see the cracks and the folds on it. When I was making this piece I was questioning the sexual violence happening in Iran specifically between intimate partners. I was amazed by the idea of how someone’s mind and body can easily converse on a playground for someone and be used. In the self-portrait, my face fully appears, also shows parts of her hands as well.
